Mar 17, 2010 Baseball Daily Update - March 17 Wednesday brought another round of non-conference games and once
again the PBC proved tough to beat with wins in four of the six
games.
The unstoppable freight train coming down the mountain that is
the Columbus State Cougars rolled to their 21st straight win,
hitting four home runs as a team, in a 12-1 margin over
Stillman. Jason Rogers hit his league-leading 15th home run
of the year while Ryan Lewis went 4-for-5 with a homer, three runs
scored and two RBIs.
Francis Marion went on the road and will come home with an 8-5
win over Limestone. Tyler Boyd went 3-for-5 with a pair of
doubles, two runs scored and two RBI. Tyler Cappelmann went
3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.
UNC Pembroke remained unbeaten at home with an 11-7 win over
Pfeiffer. Jason Coker went 2-for-3 with a double and three
runs scored while Alex Pearce was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Flagler won their fourth straight, beating Lincoln Memorial
10-6. Justin McKenna went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, he was
also hit by a pitch twice. John Sgromolo went yard with a
solo home run.
