Baseball Daily Update - April 27
It was two for Tuesday in the Peach Belt Conference as both league teams in action picked up wins over non-conference opponents.
Armstrong Atlantic State needed 13 innings, but in the end overcame #20 Erskine 5-4. Drew Walker had the game-winning RBI single in the 13th as he entered the game as a pinch hitter. Michael Price went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Jonathan Fulghum pitched the final two innings to get the win, allowing no runs and only two hits while striking out three.
Georgia Southwestern pushed five runs across in the seventh inning as they beat West Georgia 8-2 on the road. Trent Dooley went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs while Zack Stanton hit a two-run double.
