Baseball Freshman of the Week: Trevor Clemons, UNC Pembroke

Clemons started at catcher in the first and third games of UNCP’s sweep of Indiana(Pa.).  The freshman from Randleman, N.C., hit .500 in the two games with a home run, six RBIs and four runs scored.  He drew two walks, had a sac fly and scored twice in the opener, then went 3-for-5 in the finale with a three-run home run and five RBIs.  Clemons had a 1.000 slugging percentage for the week with a .556 on-base percentage.  Clemons is hitting .538 on the season and is tied for the league lead in walks.  He is also tied for fourth in stolen bases and for 12th in RBIs.
