Baseball Player of the Week: Robert Brooks, Columbus State

Brooks hit 600 as the Cougars took two of three games from Lynn over the weekend.  The freshman catcher had three home runs and 10 RBIs with a 1.500 slugging percentage and .667 on-base percentage.  He went 2-for-3 in the opener with a pair of RBIs, then 1-for-3 in the second game with the one hit a two-run home run as he drove in four. He hit two home runs in the series finale with another four RBIs.  Behind the plate he was flawless with no errors in 25 chances with three assists and was 1-for-2 in stolen bases.  Brooks leads the PBC in slugging percentage and is second in batting average and RBIs.
