Baseball Player of the Week: Roberto Rivera, UNC Pembroke

Rivera hit .619 in five starts this week to go along with three RBI and 10 runs scored.  The senior infielder from Millville, N.J., tallied four multiple-hit contests, and scored at least one run in all five outings. He had a .692 on-base percentage and a .714 slugging percentage (1.406 OPS).  Rivera hit .643 (9-for-14) in the series win at Francis Marion, with two or more hits in all three games, including a 3-hit and a 4-hit outing. He was also perfect on six stolen base attempts and did not commit an error in 12 defensive chances.  Rivera leads the PBC with 20 stolen bases on the season and a .519 on-base percentage. He is fifth in batting average, second in runs scored and fifth in hits.
