Georgia College won their third PBC Tournament title in the last five seasons in 2017 with an impressive 35-15 overall record.  The Bobcats advanced to the NCAA Southeast Regional and have a current streak of five 30-win seasons.

In 2017, the North Georgia Nighthawks won the Peach Belt regular season championship before sweeping through the Southeast Regional to advance to the school's first-ever NCAA Division II Baseball Championship, hosted in Grand Prairie, Texas. UNG won a NCAA-era program-best 46 games and was ranked No. 1 in the nation for the first time in program history as well.

USC Aiken won 40 games for the second consecutive season in 2017, finishing with a 40-15 record.  Finishing second in the PBC standings, the Pacers made their fourth trip to the NCAA Southeast regional in the last five years.
