Baseball Player of the Week: Wesley Wommack, Georgia College

Wommack had a monster week, going 10-for-14 (.714) with nine RBIs and five runs over just four games. The senior outfielder from Monroe, Ga., blasted a pair of two-run home runs, one Friday and one Saturday, each against Florida Tech. His best game came Saturday against the Panthers, going 4-for-5 with a home run, five RBIs and a run. He slugged 1.214 for the week and had multi-hit games in three of the four along with a stolen base and no strikeouts in 14 at-bats. Wommack is currently third in the PBC with a .409 batting average.  He is also sixth in slugging percentage and 12thin on-base percentage.
