Baseball Player of the Week: Robert Brooks, Columbus State

Brooks collected three hits in three games against North Georgia over the weekend, all of them flying over the outfield fence.  The sophomore catcher from Marietta blasted three homers with six RBIs in the three games for a .300 hitting percentage and 1.200 slugging percentage.  He homered twice in the opening game, driving in four and hit a solo shot in the second game along with a sacrifice fly to drive in two more in a 5-4 win.  That victory moved CSU into the #6 seed for the upcoming PBC Tournament.  Brooks is currently tied for seventh in the PBC in home runs and is also sixth in RBIs and ninth in slugging.
