AUGUSTA, GA – The bracket for the first Peach Belt Conference League of Legends Championship tournament has been released. The tournament will be held this Saturday and Sunday, March 17-18 in Milledgeville, Ga., at Georgia College in the historic Magnolia Ballroom.
The top eight teams in the standings following seven weeks of regular-season play advance to the tournament. North Georgia will enter Summoner's Rift as the #1 seed following an undefeated 9-0 regular-season record. The Nighthawks will face eight-seeded Young Harris in Saturday's quarterfinals.
Augusta and host Georgia College finished with identical 7-2 records, but Augusta won the #2 seed thanks to a 2-0 head-to-head win over the Bobcats on Feb. 9. Augsuta will face #7 Georgia Southwestern while GC will be the third seed and face #6 Lander.
Columbus State and USC Aiken met in the opening weekend of the regular-season and both finished the schedule with 6-3 records. The Pacers will be the #4 seed thanks to a head-to-head win in that opening week and will meet #5 CSU in the quarterfinals.
The PBC Tournament will consist of four quarterfinal matches on Saturday with two semifinals and the championship match on Sunday. The two teams that meet in the championship will earn bids to the Championship Play-In Round of the College League of Legends Championship, just one round away from the national championship in Los Angeles in June.
