North Georgia vs. Georgia College – Quotes

North Georgia head coach Chris Faulkner:
“We defended pretty well in the first half. Holding a team like to 30 points in the first half is tremendous. But they made so many shots in the second half, and that was the difference in the game.”

“We tried to go zone to protect some of our guards with foul trouble. They probably had better looks because of that.”

“Two weeks ago, we were in a two or three-way tie for ninth in the league, but we ended up fifth. We played better the last two or three weeks of the season.”

Georgia College head coach Terry Sellers:

“Extremely proud of our team. We played extremely better in the second half. It took all we had in the second half to pull this off. It was the kind of effort we’ve had all season long.”

“We were fortunately to be only down by five at halftime. We stepped up the defensive intensity in the second half. It was a tough game all the way down to the end.”

On playing Augusta State in the semifinals
“Augusta State has a great team. It will be a great challenge for us. We know we’re playing an outstanding a team and it will take a great effort on both ends. But we are excited about the challenge.”

Senior guard Shaun Keaton:
“Every time it went up, it felt good. I’ve been taking some more shots over the last few weeks, and it felt comfortable out there.”
