State’s Chris Wolfe was named the Player of the Year while

the Year. Young’s coach, Jimmy Wilson, was named the coach of
the year.
Wolfe becomes the second Pirate in four years to win the Player of
the Year honor, joining Thomas Whittaker who won in 2004. A junior
from Warner Robins, Ga., Wolfe had four tournament wins in 2007-08
to lead all PBC golfers. He was second in the league with a 71.9
stroke average and tied for the league lead with a single-round 65

lowest stroke average in the PBC. A true freshman from Cochran,
Ga., Young averaged 73.8 in nine events, finishing in the top 10
three times. He came in fifth at the Richard Rendleman Inviational,
which GCSU won, and was named the PBC Player of the Week on April

Year, joining his teammate Juan Bialet who took the award in 2005.
Jimmy Wilson is the PBC Coach of the Year for the second time in
his 11-year tenure at GCSU. He also won the award in 2000. Under
his guidance, the Bobcats have the lowest stroke average in the PBC
