10 PBC Golfers Named to PING All-Region Team

NORMAN, OK – 10 Peach Belt Conference golfers have been named to the PING All-Southeast region team. GCSU placed four on the team with Juan Bialet, Francisco Bide, Niclas Johansson and Joe Young. USC Aiken was next with three members: Roberto Diaz, Jeff Goff and J.P. Solis. Columbus State’s Andrew Georgiou, Clayton State’s Will Wilcox and Armstrong Atlantic State’s Chris Wolfe were also honored.

The All-Region team consists of 13 total members from the Peach Belt and South Atlantic conferences. Each honoree is now eligible for All-America consideration. All-Region teams consist of 10 players selected by the GCAA (Golf Coaches Association of America) committees and also any player ranked in the top 50 of the final Golfstat individual rankings. The southeast region was one of only three to have more than 10 members and contained the second-most behind the south region with 17 members. The PING All-America team will be released later this week as the NCAA Division II Championships come to a close.
