GSW's Griffin, Armstrong's Birch Named PBC Golfers of the Week

Men's Golfer of the Week

J.P. Griffin, Georgia Southwestern
Jr., Glennville, Ga.

Griffin won his first collegiate tournament as he was a co-champion at the Frito Lay/AT&T Invitational hosted by Jackson State.  The senior fired rounds of 74 and 73 for a three-over-par 147 at the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, tied with UT Martin's Brendon Caballero for the tournament win.  Griffin's effort helped Georgia Southwestern finish second in the 14-team field, 10 of which were Division I schools.  He becomes the second Hurricane to claim a tournament win this year and his efforts moved him into fifth in the PBC with a 72.9 stroke average.
