Defender of the Week: Sean Howe, Georgia Southwestern
Howe and the GSW defense did their jobs in back-to-back 1-0
losses to Florida Tech and Eckerd. Against FIT, the Hurricane
defense faced 14 shots, nine on goal an allowed the lone score on a
rebound after a block with less than 10 minutes to play. Eckerd
then scored their lone goal on a penalty kick as Howe and the GSW
defense turned away 14 shots, six on goal. After a tough start, the
Hurricane defense has risen to sixth in the PBC in goals against
average.
