KANSAS CITY, Mo. | The Young Harris College men's soccer team moved to the top spot in this week's final regular season United Soccer Coaches Division II Coaches Poll .
The Mountain Lions, who were the first Peach Belt Conference men's soccer team to ever be ranked No. 1 in the nation, was also ranked first in the country back in 2013.
The Mountain Lions improved to 16-0-1 overall as Young Harris notched its fourth PBC Tournament crown after winning a 5-4 penalty kick shootout over then-No. 7 Lander University in the title match Sunday (Nov. 4) .
Young Harris will be making its fourth trip to the NCAA Division II tournament this week as it earned the No. 1 seed in the Southeast region. The Mountain Lions will host the first two rounds this weekend at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The other two teams competing in Young Harris bracket will be No. 4 seed Tusculum University and No. 5 seed Queens University of Charlotte.
Queens (N.C.) and Tusculum will face each other in the first round Friday (Nov. 9) at 7 p.m.. The winner of that first round match will face the Mountain Lions in the second round Sunday (Nov. 11) at 1 p.m.
