Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: KP Pannu, Columbus State

The second-ranked singles player in NCAA Division II, Pannu went 4-0 for the Cougars in singles and doubles play last week against a pair of nationally-ranked PBC opponents.  The junior from Wellington, New Zealand, defeated Vincente Andrades of #15 USC Aiken 6-2, 6-3 and William Anth-Forsberg of #21 Francis Marion 6-1, 6-0, both at #1 singles.  At #2 doubles, he partnered with Matei Avram to beat USCA’s Sabugueiro/Vicente 9-7 and FMU’s Broeseler/Guerrero 8-4.  Pannu is now 12-3 overall in singles this spring, 6-0 against PBC opponents and 4-1 against nationally-ranked opponents.
