Men’s Tennis Player of the Week: Felipe Carvalho, Flagler

Carvahlo went 3-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles as Flagler went 3-0 last week including two wins over top-10 teams.  The junior from Sao Paulo, Brazil, began with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 win over Embry-Riddle’s Lucas Bos.  He then beat Noel Kunz of #6 Saint Leo 6-3, 6-4 and Jose Porfirio of #3 Lynn 7-5, 7-5. In doubles, he partnered with Rasmus Jonsson to beat ERAU’s Guedy and Omeragic 7-6 (7-3) and fell to Saint Leo’s Faletto and Vega 6-7 (4-7).  Carvahlo is now 6-1 overall in singles play, the second-highest winning percentage of any singles player in the PBC.  He is 4-0 at #4 singles and 3-3 at #2 doubles.
