UNCP's Ndhlovu, Mahaffie Named PBC Runners of the Week - Again

Mahaffie claims her second straight PBC weekly honor after finishing 16th at the Division I-laden College of Charleston Invitational.  The senior ran the 5k course in 19:30, shaving 28 seconds off her 5k time of a week ago and in the process running the fastest 5k in the Peach Belt this season.  With her perfomance, she now owns the only two sub-20 5ks in the conference this season.

Ndhlovu won his second straight meet to open the 2011 season, once again besting a field made up of largely Division I runners at the College of Charleston Invitational.  The junior ran the 8k course in 25:04, finishing 25 seconds ahead of second-place Luis Vargas of Elon and 45 seconds ahead of third-place Adam Seften of the College of Charleston.  Ndhlovu’s time is the fastest 8k in the Peach Belt so far this season.
