Women's Runner of the Week

Taylor Strekel • Flagler • Soph. • Stroudsburg, Pa.

Taylor Strekel placed first in last weekend’s Bridgestone-Pacer Invitational with a time of 23:55.60 over the 6K course. She finished nearly seven seconds ahead of the runner up and helped lead Flagler to a second place finish. The meet had seven Peach Belt Conference members participating.  She has run the only under-24 minute 6k so far this season in the PBC.

Men's Runner of the Week

Dustin Ross • Augusta State • Soph. • Rifle, Colo.

Ross blazed his was to his first collegiate win at the Bridgestone-Pacer Invitational in Aiken on Saturday.  The sophomore ran the 8k course, which will also be the site of the 2011 PBC Championships in 26:33.6, five seconds ahead of USC Beaufort’s Marshall Meyer and 39 ahead of Flagler’s Michael Lambert.  Ross, competing against nearly every PBC school, ran the fourth-fastest 8k in the conference so far this season.
