Softball Freshman of the Week: Natalie Murphy, Flagler

Murphy led Flagler with a .571 batting average last week as the Saints posted a 4-0 record against PBC competition. Her eight hits, two of which were doubles, tied for the team-lead as did her eight runs batted in.  The freshman first baseman from Orlando, Fla., boasted a .714 slugging percentage and a .571 on-base percentage. She scored four runs as well.  Murphy hit a two-run double in Flagler's eight-run second inning vs. Georgia College. She also hit three singles, drove in a run and scored another in a 9-8 come-from-behind victory to sweep Georgia College. Went 2-for-4 with a double, a season-high four runs batted in and scored a run in the second game vs. Augusta.  Murphy is 11th in the PBC in hits with 59.
