PBC Volleyball Daily Recap - Nov. 6

Sophomore libero Andrea Laza recorded 47 digs on Tuesday night breaking the UNCP career record for digs as the Braves outlasted Catawba 3-2 (30-27, 22-30, 30-23, 30-23, 15-12) in the only game on the PBC schedule.

Laza's broke the record of former Brave Andrea Cox who tallied 1,261 digs for UNCP from 1995-97. The native of Cary, N.C. now stands at 1,274 digs in just two seasons. UNCP (20-16) has not reached the 20-win mark since 1994 when the
Braves went 30-15 on the season.

UNCP's Tiara Anderson and Catawba's Melissa Griffith each recorded 20 kills on the night. The Indians Andi Henderson tallied 66 assists while Pembroke's Heather Fierce garnered 57 of her own.
