Armstrong's Sammarco; Columbus State's Grice Named Golfers of the Week

Sammarco became just the second Armstrong women's golfer to capture an individual tournament title when she won the Tusculum College Women's Invitational this weekend at Kiawah Island, S.C. ... Shot rounds of 74 and 70 for a two-day even-par 144 total, setting a new Armstrong women's golf two-day low score, eclipsing the 151 set by Danielle Davis in 2006 ... Lowered her season stroke average to 78.5, sixth-lowest in the PBC.

Men’s Golfer of the Week

Justin Grice led the Columbus State University men’s golf
team to a fourth place finish at The Outback Invitational at The
Hombre in Panama City, FL….Individually, Grice missed out on
a three-way playoff by one stroke finishing the event in third with
a two-round score of three-over par 147…The senior was very
consistent during the tournament shooting scores of two-over par 74
and a one-over par 73 on day two…Grice was the best finisher
from any Peach Belt Conference school as four PBC teams were in the
field.
