Peach Belt Conference

Armstrong Atlantic State’s Kristin Burton and UNC Pembroke’s Lefke Boysen were both named Daktronics All-America Honorable Mention, which is selected by Sports Information Directors nationwide.

The 2006 PBC Freshman and Player of the Year, Burton bettered her freshman numbers by leading the Peach Belt in goals with 23 and in points with 54. She ranks seventh in NCAA Division II in points per game (2.75) and 10th in goals per game (1.15) and has also earned All-PBC, All-PBC Tournament and Daktronics All-Southeast Region honors this season. Burton was also named an NSCAA All-American in 2006.

A native of Bremen, Germany, Lefke Boysen led the Lady Braves and was fourth in the PBC with 36 total points, one shy of the school record for points she established as a freshman in 2003. A senior, Boysen was named PBC All-Conference in 2007 after being ranked fifth in the league with 14 goals and tied for fifth with eight assists. She also led the conference in shots with 83.
