Player of the Week
Lindsay Zullo, Flagler
Jr. • F • Hudson, Fla.
Zullo tallied three goals, two of which were game-winners, and was instrumental in leading Flagler to a 2-0 week. At No. 23 UNC Pembroke, Zullo scored the golden goal on a direct kick from 30 yards out to help Flagler to its first win over a ranked opponent since Aug. 29, 2007. She then added two more goals in a 3-1 win at Newberry. Zullo now leads the PBC in game-winners and is tied for third in goals and tied for seventh in points.
Defender of the Week
Jamie Colcord, Georgia College
Jr. • D • Marietta, Ga.
Colcord was instrumental in guiding the Bobcat defense to a pair of conference shutouts last week and moving the team into a tie for second in the PBC. She began with an assist on the first goal of the game in a 4-0 win over Montevallo as her blast from 30 yards out was deflected into the net. She then led the defense to holding Georiga Southwestern to four total shots in a 2-0 win in Americus. The shutouts were the first two of the season for GC and moved them into fifth in the league in GAA.
Goalkeeper of the Week
Taylor Cornelius, Georgia College
Fr. • GK • Dacula, Ga.
Cornelius collected the first shutout of her career and played 175 scoreless minutes over two games for the 2-0 Bobcats. She started and played 85 minutes in the win over Montevallo before going the distance in a 2-0 win at Georgia Southwestern. She made nine saves in both games combined. Her efforts lowered her GAA for the season to 1.16, fifth in the Peach Belt, and her four goals allowed is second-fewest in the conference.
