Armstrong's Bahr Named Daktronics Women's Soccer All-American
Armstrong Atlantic State senior defender Kelli Bahr was named to the Daktronics women's soccer All-America team. Columbus State's Kansas Bayly and Stephanie Lowery were also recognized as honorable mentions. Bahr was placed on the second team after helping lead the Pirates to their best season ever, which culminated in a spot in the NCAA Final Four.
The accolade is one of many for Bahr, who was also named a Capitol One/CoSIDA Academic All-American. A fifth-year senior who anchors Armstrong's defense this season, Bahr carried a 3.88 GPA in receiving her undergraduate degree in early childhood education in May and currently has a 4.00 GPA in her graduate school courses.
The Daktronics honor is the third in the career. Bahr has helped the No. 7-ranked Pirates to the NCAA DII Final Four while scoring two goals and one assist and helping Armstrong record a team 0.83 GAA.
