Men's Tennis Player of the Week
Georgi Rumenov, Armstrong

The newly-crowned top-ranked singles and doubles player in the nation went 2-0 in singles and doubles for the Pirates last week. Rumenov began the week with a 6-1, 6-2 win over No. 15-ranked Arrigoni of Lander, then beat NAIA No. 18-ranked Nicolas Pinones of Auburn-Montgomery, 6-1, 6-0. Teamed with Mikk Irdoja to beat the Lander duo of Jonsson and Verpeaux, 8-4, and the Auburn-Montgomery duo of Toth and Reason, 8-0. Is a perfect 14-0 at #1 singles this season.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
Margot Simon, USC Aiken
Soph. • Nantes, France
Simon helped the Pacers to a 3-0 week with three wins at #2 singles. The sophomore beat Victoria Lindqvist of #40 Augusta State 6-2, 6-4, then won a war with Martina Dedaj of #9 Clayton State 6-4, 3-6, 6-3. Simon then finished the road trip with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of North Georgia’s Juliana Chiang. She is undefeated at 7-0 when playing at #2 singles and USCA has won six straight when she plays in that spot. Simon becomes the first USCA women’s tennis player to ever be named a Player of the Week.
