Wadstein, Krtickova Named Tennis Players of the Week

Women's Tennis Player of the Week

Krtickova went 2-0 in singles and doubles for the No. 3-ranked Pirates as Armstrong wrapped up an undefeated regular season ... Beat No. 6 (NAIA) Yi Ching Chen of No. 3 Embry-Riddle, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, on Thursday and Michelle Fischer of Valdosta State, 6-1, 6-2, on Saturday ... Teamed with Aleksandra Filipovski to knock off No. 6-ranked (NAIA) Chen and Strom of Embry-Riddle, 9-8 (7-2), aand Braun and Nagel of Valdosta State, 8-2 ... Ranked No. 4 in the nation in singles and No. 2 in doubles.

Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Johan Wadstein, Georgia College
Jr. • Helsingborg, Sweden

Wadstein was a perfect 3-0 in singles and doubles as the Bobcats beat three nationally-ranked conference opponents to secure a berth in the PBC Tournament.  The junior beat Mateus Camasmine of #25 North Georgia, Henrique Boturao of #12 Augusta State and  Patrick Steibinger of #33 USC Aiken all in straigh sets.  Playing at #1 doubles with Jerome Leborgne, he was perfect including a win over #24 Berlyn and Stiebinger of USCA.  Is 12-5 at #2 doubles and ranked #9 nationally in doubles.
