UM's Ati, FMU's Legg Named Volleyball Players of the Week

Player of the Week

Manyi Ati, Montevallo
5-10 • Soph. • MB • Lawrenceville, Ga.

Ati was a one-woman attack machine this week as she averaged 3.62 kills per set while hitting .551 in a pair of conference matches.  She opened with 20 kills and only two errors in 37 attacks against USC Aiken in a five-set loss, hitting .486, then hit .750 with nine kills and no errors in a win over Lander.  The 2010 PBC Freshman of the Year also added 1.75 blocks per set with eight total blocks against lander.  She also added seven digs against USCA.  Ati is sixth in the PBC in kills and kills per set, third in hitting percentage and fifth in solo blocks.

Specialist of the Week

Hallie Legg, Francis Marion
5-7 • Sr. • L • North Canton, Ohio

Legg had her eighth 20-dig match of the season against Anderson, setting a career-high with 36 and averaging 7.29 in two matches.  She began with 15 digs and an ace against Brevard, then had her monster game against Anderson.  The 36 digs is the most in a single match in the PBC this season.  Already a member of FMU's 1,000-dig club, the senior upped her season average to 4.41 digs per set, third in the Peach Belt.  SHe is also fourth in digs per set.
